Reverse returns one top match by default. Set how many with limit, and how much each carries with mode: terms, fast, or deep.

One unit, the source word. No base fees, no per-call charges: the price of a request is its word count times the rate of the passes that ran, nothing else. One base rate and three toggles you can add to it, each doing a different job, so a request pays for what its text actually needs. A request always bills at least 30 words, so a one-line call doesn't round to nothing.

• Live reads the source first and looks up the expressions in it whose sense a translator would check rather than assume: the idioms, the slang, the wording whose meaning has moved. Each one is searched, and a sense that can't point at what it came from is thrown away rather than used. The translation is then written knowing what the source says, which is the one thing a check on the finished text cannot fix.
• Proofread checks the finished translation the other way round: the openers, the set phrases, the collocations go out to a live search against the alternative they beat, and what comes back is how often each is really written. Only what the counts overrule gets replaced. Grammar can be perfect and the phrasing still be something nobody says, and counting is the only way to tell. It earns the most on distant language pairs.
• Humanizer rewrites the output to drop the stiff, machine cadence so it reads like a person wrote it.
• The two grounded toggles suit different kinds of text. Proofread is at its best on formal and professional writing, where a translation carries the source language's phrasing across. Live is for casual writing, where the slang and the idiom are.
• Words are whitespace-delimited, so spaces, punctuation and formatting cost nothing. For languages written without spaces (Chinese, Japanese, Thai) each character counts as one word.
• You pay for the work that ran. If a source holds nothing worth looking up, or the finished text holds nothing worth checking, that toggle says so and you are charged as though it were off. Every response lists the passes it billed.
