Nice extra trivia: Ramsay and Travers found xenon in what was left after liquid air was separated. The name comes from Greek xenos, like stranger, which fits because it was the odd leftover gas.

Car people use xenon a bit loosely. Real HID lamps have xenon in the discharge mix, but a random 'xenon look' bulb at the shop can just be a tinted halogen, not some pure element 54 lamp.

If you read reactor stuff, element 54 shows up as Xe-135 way more than as the neutral gas from class. Xenon-135 is the nasty neutron absorber people mean by xenon poisoning, so after a shutdown it can make restart timing awkward.

yep, in my nuclear eng notes xenon was basically a scheduling problem with a chemical symbol
