If someone says their FYP is "broken", they usually mean recommendations went weird, not the app page is broken. Long pressing Not Interested, searching what u actually want, or changing topic controls can shift it back a bit.

Another meaning missing here: FYP shows up in policy and economics writing for Five Year Plan. You see things like 12th FYP or China's 14th FYP, totally unrelated to TikTok or school.

in Singapore uni emails, FYP isnt slang at all. It can be the official project course, with supervisor, dissertation, presentation, the whole painful package.

On TikTok I hear "my FYP" way more than "the FYP" when someone means their own feed. The whole point is that mine can be skincare and yours can be football edits, same app, different page

People use #fyp and #foryou in captions like a lucky charm, not because it literally opens the For You Page. TikTok does read hashtags as video info, but the tag itself is not some secret elevator.
