Old dictionaries also give پرستی / پرستش for looking after a sick person, بیمار کی دیکھ بھال. In normal talk I'd still say تیمارداری, otherwise people will probably hear worship first.

Tiny grammar point: the whole compound behaves like a feminine noun. قوم پرستی اچھی ہے, not اچھا ہے. same with شخصیت پرستی بری ہے.

You will see this ending stuck to newer words too: فیشن پرستی, ڈالر پرستی. so it is not only old religious compounds like بت پرستی.

In newspaper Urdu, قوم پرستی and وطن پرستی dont feel exactly the same. وطن پرستی is the warmer patriotism word, قوم پرستی can sound more like a political label, closer to nationalism than just loving the country
