Now there is a reason to ask questions.
A Speaking Practice conversation can carry an optional task, and one of them puts a secret in the room. One line sits at the top of the screen when you start, something like "Why is Marta closing the shop early today?" Finding that out is the whole task.
Three to five clues sit behind the question and they only come out through ordinary talk. Ask about her day, her family, what she is doing tonight, and pieces arrive. Ask the question word for word and she changes the subject, politely. That part is deliberate.
Every secret is built around the character you happen to get, out of who they are and what they want in the scene, so no two are alike. Nothing dark or awkward, just something a stranger only reaches by chatting.
When you think you have it, say it out loud. Get it right and the character tells you so, and the review spells the answer out. Never get there and the review tells you anyway.
