Dont use jIyaj for I know. Klingon has Sov for know a fact, while yaj is understand or comprehend. English swaps those casually, Klingon lessons usually dont.

For pronunciation, that I is the vowel of English bit, not the English word I. Then the y starts the second syllable.

The KCD line Dajatlhbogh vIyajbe' exists, but beginners should know its grammar is weird. Safer in normal lessons is to put in a head noun, like mu'tlhegh Dajatlhbogh vIyajbe', or just say nuqjatlh? if lost.

Careful with jIyajbe'. The final apostrophe is not decoration, it is a letter, so leaving it off changes the written Klingon even if your English eye wants to ignore it.

jIyajchu' is a nice next step, it is more like I understand clearly or perfectly. Not just louder jIyaj.

For a question, bIyaj'a'? is do you understand? with no object. If you mean do you understand it, Dayaj'a'? is the one you want.

A useful contrast for learners: jIyaj means I understand in general. qayaj is I understand you, and vIyaj is I understand it or them. The prefix is doing the object work.

If you are starting a Klingon sentence with it, dont change the first letter just because English would. jIyaj is still jIyaj at the beginning, not JIyaj. The caps are sounds, not title case.
