dont assume QoQ maps neatly onto a western scale. The old KLI list had people arguing about the Klingon nine-note scale, the nonave, and how a Terran instrument would even fake it. Useful warning if somebody is translating music theory words, not just songs.

newer word to add here maybe: tlhugh is a music genre. KLI lists yong'el tlhugh QoQ for Acid Punk, and says in most places you can drop the QoQ part, so yong'el tlhugh is enough.

The qon bit is easy to miss. For songs it is not just fancy dictionary-speak for compose, KGT treats the composer more like the person who records the song that was already waiting there. So qonwI' feels closer to song-recorder than our usual romantic idea of a genius making music from zero.
